Staff Grievances

REPORTING A GENERAL COMPLAINT OR SUGGESTION
: Suggestions for improving Futures Explored are always welcome. At some time, an employee may have a complaint, suggestion or question about his/her job, working conditions, or the treatment s/he is receiving. An employee's good-faith complaints, questions, and suggestions are of concern to Futures. For suggestions/comments, Futures Explored has posted a link on our website:

The Suggestion Box is anonymous, and all comments are reviewed at the monthly management meetings.

5. Futures will immediately undertake an effective, thorough and objective investigation of the allegations and will provide a solution or explanation within 10 working days. This investigation will be conducted by a Director or a Coordinator. Typically, the investigation will include the following steps: an interview of the employee who lodged the complaint to obtain complete details regarding the issue; interviews of anyone who is involved in the issue; and interviews of anyone who may have witnessed, or who may have knowledge of, the issue.

6. If the problem is not resolved, you may present the problem in writing to the Executive Director, who will attempt to reach a final resolution. If you need assistance with the written complaint, contact Karen Smith, Executive Director. The Executive Director is authorized by the Board of Directors to reach a final resolution.

7. If the complaint, suggestion or question involves the Executive Director, then it may be brought directly to the attention of the President of the Board of Directors.
